Dubai-Mubasher: Mashreq Bank is planning more expansions via opening more branches in the UAE, Qatar and Egypt in 2015, said Shaker Zainal, deputy regional chief for branches in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The bank intends to add seven more branches to its 45-branch network in the UAE by the end of this year, the official told Mubasher, speaking on the sidelines of an economic forum held Monday in Dubai.
Zainal also said Mashreq plans to inaugurate five new branches in Egypt, bringing the total number of offshoots to 15 by the end of 2015. He noted that the bank has filed with Egypt’s central bank to be licensed to open these new branches.
Moreover, Mashreq will open a new branch in Qatar in May, bringing the total number of branches there to five.
