Galfar Engineering and Contracting has been awarded a tender to upgrade Duqm Desalination Plant in Oman for OMR 729,970 ($1.8 million), the company said in a filing to Muscat’s bourse.
Rural Areas Electricity Company sent Galfar the letter of award dated 14 June 2015.
The one-year project, including 14 days for mobilization, is expected to generate “reasonable” profits, according to the bourse statement.
