Gulf Petroleum Investment (GPI) said that its fully owned Egyptian subsidiary Pyramid Drilling restarted operating its only offshore rig, Bennevis, which is drilling in a field located in the gulf of Suez. The rig returned to service on 9 October.

GPI added that the rig’s daily operating revenue is worth about $56,500 which will be registered in the financial statements for the fourth-quarter ending 31 December.

The rig’s drilling contract is signed between GPI’s unit and Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (Gupco).
