Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Aldar Properties on Thursday announced it was maintaining “steady progress” in its seven main under development projects.
Yas Island's Ansam and Al Raha Beach's Al Hadeel are nearing their final stages of development ahead of handovers in September 2017, the Abu Dhabi-based developer said in a statement on its official website.
Yas Island developments “are progressing well”, the company said, noting that various projects were being constructed simultaneously. Meanwhile, Ansam, located on the west side of Yas Island, is on the verge of completion “with façade glazing and internal fit out in full swing ahead of handover this year.”
Aldar said it awarded the AED 500 million main contractor package for its luxury golf and waterfront development on the island Mayan. The package entails the construction of five, eleven-storey buildings comprising 512 units, the statement showed.
Our first villa community on Yas Island known as West Yas and our flagship golf and waterfront villa and townhouse development, Yas Acres, continue to see steady progress, the company revealed.
West Yas mock-up villas will be open to the public once landscaping around the villas is complete, it added.
“Aldar is currently evaluating tender submissions for Yas Acres' main contractor, which will be awarded in Q2. In total, Aldar currently has over 3,500 units under development at Yas Island,” the company said.
Construction on Reem Island with Aldar’s Meera development is also underway.
Aldar reported that its Al Hadeel development, on Al Raha Beach, has been sold-out and is now in the final stages ahead of its handover slated for some time in 2017.
“Elsewhere, road construction is expected to commence imminently for Nareel Island and the sold-out Al Merief in Khalifa City,” Abu Dhabi’s largest property developer said.
As for its developments in Al Ain, Aldar announced that its Al Jimi Mall has continued to enjoy a strong footfall despite refurbishment works at the mall’s main entrance, west corridor, and restroom facilities continue.
Mall refurbishments involve expanding the west side of the mall, known as the West Wing, by adding 51 new units over three levels.
