Mubasher: Capital Intelligence Ratings has affirmed the Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of Doha Bank (DB) at 'A', according to a report issued on Wednesday.

The ratings agency also revealed that the outlook on the FSR  remains 'Stable' given the easing of liquidity ratios.

The principal factors supporting the FSR are the Bank's good capital base and good overall asset quality, and while the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio remains above average for the peer group, this is in part a reflection of the very low proportion of government sector lending in the portfolio. Also offsetting the higher headline NPL ratio are the more than full loan-loss reserve coverage and good effective coverage ratio, the report explained.
