Cairo – Mubasher: Mashreq Bank has appointed Amr El Bahey as its new CEO and country head in Egypt.

El Bahey will be responsible for the strategic growth of the Emirati lender in the North African nation and will lead it to reinforce its position and contributions in the Egyptian financial services sector, according to Almal News.

Before joining Mashreq Bank Egypt, he was the regional head of client network banking, business development and planning for MENA and Turkey at HSBC Middle East.

El Bahey holds a master degree in business administration from Maastricht School of Management in Netherland, as well as has a bachelor degree in economy from Concordia University in Canada.
