Al Haramain high-speed rail trips kick off Thursday
The number of trips will increase gradually

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Al Haramain high-speed train will begin trips on Thursday, 11 October, with four journeys a week from Thursday to Sunday.

The number of trips will increase gradually to be launched throughout the week over the coming period.

The train's trips comprise Makkah, Medina, Jeddah, and King Abdullah Economic City, and Medina.

On Tuesday, 25 September, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud arrived at Jeddah station to attend the opening of Haramain rail line.

Saudi Railways Organization’s (SRO) president Rumaih Al-Rumaih indicated that Al-Haramain train project has been the first electric train in the region.

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) had previously announced that booking tickets would be available online.

The project’s general manager Mohamed Fedda previously noted that 138 rail bridges and 850 tunnels were executed in the mega-project.
