Cairo – Mubasher: Trade exchange between Egypt and the US rose by 33% year-on-year during the first nine months of this year, the Egyptian trade minister said on Tuesday.
Non-oil trade between the two countries recorded $5.059 billion during the January-September period of 2018, compared to $3.79 billion in the same period last year, Amr Nassar added in a statement.
Egyptian exports to the US market amounted to $1.18 billion at the end of September, up from $961 million in the nine-month period of 2017, Nassar highlighted.
Meanwhile, the North African nation’s imports from the US grew to $3.87 billion from $2.83 billion during the same period.
