Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt is considering bidding for hosting the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, the youth and sports minister said.

This comes following Morocco’ decision of not to run for the Africa Cup, Ashraf Sobhi told MBC Misr channel in a phone call.

For his part, Magdi Abdelghani, member of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), said that it is too late for Egypt to make an official bid.

Abdelghani pointed out that Egypt has to be prepared to organise such a tournament that requires collaborations with the executive entities and institutions in the country, along with the EFA.
