Mubasher: Gold went down at Friday’s settlement, marking its lowest level since 25 January.
Comex April gold lost $16.9, or 1.3%, to close at $1,299.2 per ounce, declining 2.5% for the week.
By 6:47 pm GMT, the USD dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, increased by 0.26% to 96.47.
