Mubasher: Gold grew at Wednesday’s settlement, after eight successive losses.
Comex April gold increased by $2.9, or 0.2%, to close at $1,287.6 per ounce.
By 7:23 pm GMT, the USD dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, inched down by 0.02% to 96.87.
