Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) on Tuesday launched its ‘Hasibati’ app on Android and iOS-operated smartphones.

This service estimates the expected value of a customer's consumption bill, electricity metre fees, the value added tax (VAT), and the total amount which must be paid, according to SEC’s statement.

Earlier in March, the firm unveiled began operating an electricity substation in Dhahran region with a cost of SAR 116.7 million.

SEC last reported a 32% year-on-year decrease in net losses during the fourth quarter of 2018, reaching SAR 3.77 billion, compared to SAR 5.52 billion.

By 12:32 pm Saudi time, SEC’s stock inched up 0.49% to SAR 16.26.
