Mubasher: Gold went down at Wednesday’s settlement, shrugging off three successive gains.
Comex June gold lost $4.2, or 0.3%, to close at $1,281.4 per ounce.
By 08:07 pm GMT, the US dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, edged up 0.07% to 97.62.
