Mubasher: Gold rose at Friday’s settlement, marking the highest level since 2013.
Comex August gold climbed $3.2, or 0.2%, to close at $1,400.1 per ounce, adding 4.1% for the week.
By 07:43 pm GMT, the US dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, decreased by 0.43% at 96.21.
