Cairo – Mubasher: Google’s services support Egypt’s economy with more than EGP 5.2 billion a year, head of marketing at Google Egypt, Salma Mohamed, said. 

The total surplus on Google’s services has reached EGP 131 billion, she added during a conference held on Monday.

For more than ten years, the US web search engine giant has fostered its position in the Egyptian market through injecting new investments.

Companies in Egypt offering their products online grow four times faster than other companies, she added.

For his part, Google's country manager for Egypt Hisham El-Nazer said that the tech giant plans to help 200,000 companies in 2019.
