DFM ends Thursday in red
The DFM’s general index fell by 1.62%

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has closed Thursday’s trading session on a negative note.

The DFM’s general index fell by 1.62% to 2,780.01 points, losing 45.68 points.

Trading volume amounted to 180.30 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 252.83 million through 3,373 transactions.

Market capitalisation shed AED 4.07 billion and closed the session at AED 368.72 billion.

The consumer staples sector fell by 2.79%, followed by the banks sectors that dropped by 2.15%.

Likewise, the real estate sector decreased by 1.55% and the investment sector tumbled by 0.38%.

On the other hand, the services sector was the sole riser with 0.31%.

Deyaar Development’s stock headed the declining stocks with 5.60%, while Al Salam Bank – Sudan’s stock led the winners with 5.56%.

Air Arabia was the most heavily traded stock with 48.84 million shares traded at a turnover of AED 68.66 million.
