Founder and CEO of ArabNet, Omar Christidis said that the conference is Saudi Arabia’s largest event for tech startups and entrepreneurship in the digital sector, gathering more than 6,000 attendees.
The event is bringing together digital communication and technology specialists from around Saudi Arabia and the world, under the theme “Connecting the Kingdom”.
ArabNet Riyadh 2019 is organized in partnership with the Saudi Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monshaat), under the sponsorship of leading financial, banking, and telecom entities, Christidis added.
The CEO of ArabNet further noted that Saudi Arabia is the largest market in the Arab world and the Middle East for e-commerce, which validates the Kingdom’s great interest in technology development, digitalization, and supporting entrepreneurship.
Information and communication technology is a common aspect across all industries nowadays, including media, commerce, and tourism, Christidis indicated, emphasizing the need for further boosting the digital sector in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world.
From 10 to 11 December, the event will include a number of workshops focusing on digital media and marketing, e-commerce, and entrepreneurship.
rabNet Riyadh is featuring rich interactive content through high-level speakers and panellists from around the world, including France, Mexico, and Singapore, as well as a number of Saudi decision-makers and industry leaders from private and public sectors.
