Cairo - Mubasher: The net profits of Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBE) climbed by 11.18% year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 978.29 million during the first nine months of fiscal year (FY) 2019/2020, compared to EGP 879.9 million in the same period a year earlier.
The bank's consolidated financial results showed a rise in the net interest income to EGP 1.57 billion in the July-March period from EGP 1.33 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, the bank's standalone financial statements showed a decline in net profits to EGP 855.48 million in the first nine months of FY19/20, down from EGP 840.59 million in the year-ago period.
It is noteworthy to mention that the consolidated financial results of EBE reflected a marginal year-on-year (YoY) rise in profits to EGP 602.815 million during the first half (H1) of fiscal year 2019/2020 from EGP 585.6 million in the same period of FY18/19.
