Riyadh – Mubasher: The King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz, discussed with Russian President Vladimir Putin the work of the G20 summit, which is currently headed by Saudi Arabia.

Through a phone call, the two leaders discussed the efforts made within the G20 meetings to combat the effects of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and the return to normal life, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Saudi King expressed interest in raising bilateral trade, stressing the role of Russia in the OPEC + alliance to restore the stability of the global oil market.

Meanwhile, Putin praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in its presidency of the G20.

In addition, he expressed gratitude towards the development of relations between the two countries and the fruitful cooperation in the field of energy.

Moreover, the Russian president pointed to the ongoing communication about the new Russian COVID-19 vaccine, named Sputnik V.
