Riyadh – Mubasher: Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) said it has safely completed the scheduled periodic turnaround maintenance for the Polymers Plant of International Polymers Company (IPC), a Sipchem subsidiary.

The Polymers Plant resumed its operations on 7 February 2021, according to a bourse disclosure.

The maintenance works are set to enhance the plant’s efficiency, raise its reliability, and cut production costs, in line with the company’s future operational plans.

The material impact of this scheduled maintenance turnaround will reflect on the company’s financials for the first quarter (Q1) of 2021.

Last week, Sipchem announced the suspension of operations at the Polymers Plant and the Ethyl Acetate plant (EA) of Sipchem Chemicals Company (SCC) for scheduled periodic turnaround maintenance. 

The Ethyl Acetate Plant will be suspended for 16 days.
