Saudi Arabia vaccinates 98% of elderly
About 86% of the elderly in Bisha were vaccinated

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has vaccinated approximately 98% of the elderly, aged 60 years or older, against COVID-19.

This percentage has been achieved after administering at least one dose of the vaccine, Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

The percentage of the vaccinated elderly in Hafar Al Batin reached 98%, followed by Al Ahsa and Al Qurayyat with 93%. About 86% of the elderly in Bisha were vaccinated, followed by Riyadh as well as the Eastern Province and Taif with 83% and 80%, respectively.

As part of the national vaccination campaign against COVID-19, all citizens and residents aged 75 years or older can get the vaccine by visiting the nearest vaccination centre without any required registration or prior appointment.

Until press time, Saudi Arabia has registered 469,414 total infections since the pandemic started in 2020.
