Riyadh – Mubasher: The net profits after Zakat and tax of Jarir Marketing Company (Jarir Bookstores) have increased by 6.778% to SAR 272.5 million during the third quarter (Q3) of 2021, compared to SAR 255.2 million in the year-ago period.
Higher profits are attributed to a rise in sales of certain sections especially the school and office supplies and smartphones, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The company generated revenues of SAR 2.224 billion in Q3-21, up 9.156% from SAR 2.037 billion in the corresponding period of 2020.
During the first nine months of 2021, the company recorded net profits after Zakat and tax of SAR 729.4 million, up 1.971% from SAR 715.3 million in the corresponding period of the earlier year.
The earnings per share (EPS) stands at SAR 6.08 in the January-September period of 2021, compared to SAR 5.96 in the year-ago period.
It is noteworthy to mention that during the first half (H1) of 2021, the company achieved net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 456.9 million, down by 0.7% from SAR 460.1 million in H1-20.
