Egypt auctions EGP 24bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a total value of EGP 24 billion through two auctions on Sunday, 26 June.

The first issue stood at EGP 14 billion and will hold a 91-day tenor until 29 September 2022, according to official data.

The second tranche amounted to EGP 10 billion, carrying a maturity period of 273 days until 28 March 2023.

On 23 June, the CBE auctioned T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 20 billion.
