CBE issues two-type T-bonds worth EGP 14bn on Monday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a combined value of EGP 8 billion through two issues on Monday, 14 November.

With a five-year tenor until 13 October 2027, the first tranche was valued at EGP 500 million, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second issue stood at EGP 7.50 billion and will mature in three years on 1 November 2025.

Furthermore, the CBE offered zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 6 billion through one auction, carrying a maturity period of 1.5 years until 7 May 2024.

Last week, the central bank issued T-bonds at a value of EGP 7.25 billion through two tranches and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 5.50 billion through one offering.
