Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 7.25 billion through two offerings on Monday, 21 November.
The first issue stood at EGP 250 million and will mature in seven years on 7 May 2029, according to official data.
Holding a three-year tenor until 1 November 2025, the second tranche was valued at EGP 7 billion.
Meanwhile, the CBE issued zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 5.50 billion through one offering, carrying a maturity period of 1.5 years until 21 May 2024.
Last week, the central bank issued T-bonds worth EGP 8 billion through two auctions and zero-coupon T-bonds at a value of EGP 6 billion through one offering.
