Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 43.50 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 5 January.
The first auction reached EGP 20.50 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 11 July 2023, according to official data.
Meanwhile, the second tranche stood at EGP 23 billion and will mature in 364 days on 9 January 2024.
On 2 January, the CBE offered T-bills at a total value of EGP 35 billion through two auctions.
