Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 43.50 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 16 March.

The first issue stood at EGP 20.50 billion and will mature in 182 days on 19 September 2023, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second tranche was valued at EGP 23 billion, with a tenor of 364 days until 19 March 2024.

Earlier this week, the CBE issued T-bills worth EGP 34 billion through two offerings.
