Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 39.50 billion through two offerings on Thursday, 30 March.
The first tranche stood at EGP 16 billion, carrying a 182-day maturity period until 3 October 2023, according to official data.
With a tenor of 364 days until 2 April 2024, the second issue was valued at EGP 23.50 billion.
Earlier this week, the CBE offered T-bills at a combined value of EGP 34 billion through two auctions.
