CBE issues EGP 39.5bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 39.50 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 8 June.

The first issue was valued at EGP 16 billion, holding a tenor of 182 days until 12 December 2023, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second offering stood at EGP 23.50 billion and will mature in 364 days on 11 June 2024.

Earlier this week, the CBE auctioned T-bills at a total value of EGP 40 billion through two issues.
