CBE auctions EGP 42.5bn T-bills on Thursday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 42.50 billion through two tranches on Thursday, 14 September.

With an 182-day tenor until 19 March 2024, the first tranche stood at EGP 19 billion, according to official data.

The second offering was valued at EGP 23.50 billion, carrying a maturity period of 364 days until 17 September next year.

A week ago, the CBE issued T-bills worth the same combined amount through two auctions.
