Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s new government formation will be announced this week and the new ministers will take a constitutional oath before President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the beginning of next week, parliamentary sources who preferred to remain anonymous told Mubasher.

The sources highlighted that the ministers of Finance, Planning, Economic Development, Transportation, Communications, Information Technology, International Cooperation, and Health are likely to remain in position.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly plans to amend ministers of Internal Trade, Supply, Industry, Aviation, Tourism, and Environment.

However, the sources noted that the new amendments will continue until the last minute and nothing is final yet.

The ministers of Finance, Planning and International Cooperation are expected to maintain their positions, as they are handling important files related to international financial institutions, such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.

Egypt is set to receive a $820 million loan from the IMF as part of the facility programme signed in December 2022.
