Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) worth EGP 6 billion through two issues on Monday, 5 August 2024, according to official data.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 1 billion and will mature in two years on 6 August 2026. Meanwhile, the second offering stood at EGP 5 billion, holding a tenor of three years until 6 August 2027.
The CBE also unveiled floating-rate T-bonds at a value of EGP 250 million through one tranche, which carries a five-year maturity period until 6 August 2029.
Earlier this week, the financial authority offered debt instruments at a total value of EGP 60 billion.
