Hub71’s Cohort 15 attracts $135m in startup investment

UAE – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi's global tech ecosystem Hub71 welcomed 21 startups in Cohort 15, bringing the total raised funding to $134.90 million, according to a press release.

Currently, 243 startups will enter Hub71’s Access programme and the specialist ecosystems of Hub71+ Digital Assets and Hub71+ climatetech.

Cohort 15 was selected from more than 1,228 applications, with 17 startups founded in international markets, including the US, the UK, France, and Germany.

EpiBone, a US-based healthtech company that has raised $43 million (AED 158 million) in funding, is expected to join the Access progrmme.

Meanwhile, Partanna Oasis, a material science firm that makes carbon-negative concrete, has gained $26 million (AED 98 million) in funding and is set to join Hub71+ climatetech.

UK-based Greengage, which provides Web3 fintech solutions for SME and family offices, secured $10 million (AED 36 million) in funding and will join the Hub71+ Digital Assets specialist ecosystem. 

Ahmad Ali Alwan, CEO of Hub71, said: “By providing the startups with access to investment opportunities and market reach, Hub71 is supporting the founders' journey in Abu Dhabi and accelerating their transformative impact globally.”

The selected startups operate in seven sectors, including fintech, climatetech, healthtech, edtech, as well as mobility and logistics. They are forecast to contribute to anchoring the sustainable growth of Abu Dhabi’s economy.

The Hub71 Access and Hub71+ specialist ecosystems will allow startups to benefit from the vibrant community of mentors, partners, and investors within Abu Dhabi’s technology ecosystem.

Moreover, they will access market opportunities, top talent, and capital to secure commercial deals, attract investment, and promote market growth.
