Riyadh – Mubasher: The board of Saudi Company for Hardware (SACO) decided on 20 July 2026 not to renew the employment contract of CEO Abdel Salam Bdeir.
The contract is scheduled to conclude on 31 October 2026, according to a bourse disclosure.
In a move to ensure leadership continuity, the board appointed board member Sakhr bin Asaad Jamjoom as the company's Managing Director, effective 21 July 2026.
His term in this role is slated to continue until the end of the current board session on 19 July 2029.
Jamjoom brings over 32 years of professional experience across global companies in sectors including consumer goods, manufacturing, and logistics. He previously served as the Managing Director of Halwani Bros Company between 2024 and 2025.
He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University, complemented by a corporate governance certification from the Wharton School.
SACO announced the formation of its audit committee for the new board term, which commenced on 20 July.
