Riyadh - Mubasher: City Cement Company announced updates regarding its strategic investments and subsidiary operations aimed at diversifying income and enhancing value chain integration.

Green Solutions for Environmental Services, a subsidiary, is expanding its waste management activities and expects a financial impact on the group in 2027.

This subsidiary holds a 29.40% stake in Innovative Alternatives for Environmental Services, which is developing a material recovery facility in Riyadh with an estimated investment cost of SAR 350 million.

The project, partnered with a Saudi Investment and Recycling Company (SIRC) affiliate, is planned to be funded 30% by partners and 70% through external financing, with trial operations projected for 2028.

Furthermore, the company’s mining arm, Naizak Mining, has commenced operations and established a 50% joint venture (JV) with Next Generation SCM. This venture will utilize patented technology to produce cement additives, involving an initial investment of SAR 102 million.

Similar to the waste project, financing is structured as 30% partner contributions and 70% external debt.

Trial operations for this facility are scheduled for mid-2027, with financial impacts expected by the end of 2027.

These initiatives align with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals for sustainability and mining sector development.

In the January-June 2026 period, the listed group’s net profits dropped by 49.08% to SAR 44.77 million when compared to SAR 87.92 million in H1-25.
