Riyadh – Mubasher: Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) and Ericsson have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at LEAP 2026 to optimize network performance and accelerate Mobily’s transition toward autonomous networks in Saudi Arabia.

The partnership will explore the use of AI across Radio Access Networks (RAN) through rApps running on Ericsson’s Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP), according to a press release.

Both sides will integrate AI-driven RAN software across radio, RAN Compute, and Active Antenna Systems with centralized AI use cases, enabling intelligence and automation across the network.

Furthermore, Mobily will join the EIAP ecosystem, the industry’s leading ecosystem for rApps, with its more than 100 available rApps from over 100 members.

Through the rApp directory of available rApps, and this open ecosystem, the Tadawul-listed group will access a community of software vendors, developers and ecosystem partners that may provide rApps that address network requirements in Saudi Arabia.

In the first half (H1) of 2026, Mobily generated 11.52% higher net profits at SAR 1.78 billion when compared to SAR 1.60 billion in H1-25.
