Riyadh – Mubasher: Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) and Ericsson teamed up to work on a skills development program in Saudi Arabia aimed at equipping young people with digital, professional, and leadership skills while raising awareness of career opportunities in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector.

The program will feature interactive learning sessions led by experts from both companies, combining practical training with mentoring and career guidance, according to a press release.

It aims to help participants build skills and prepare for future career pathways. Themes will cover career development and employability, AI and emerging technologies, leadership, communication, and problem-solving.

The collaboration reflects Ericsson and Mobily’s commitment to expanding opportunities for interaction and learning, and strengthening their engagement with specialized expertise in the ICT sector.

Mohammed Al Shammari Chief Human Recourse Officer at Mobily, noted: “At Mobily, we believe that building a sustainable digital future starts with investing in promising national talent and empowering them to play an active role in shaping this future.”

Håkan Cervell, Saudi Arabia President at Ericsson, said: “Building digital skills and awareness can help young people prepare for opportunities across the ICT sector. By bringing together expertise from Ericsson and Mobily, this initiative aims to provide practical learning, mentoring and career insights that support youth development and digital inclusion in Saudi Arabia.”

During LEAP 2026, the two companies inked a deal to enhance network performance and accelerate Mobily’s transition toward autonomous networks in Saudi Arabia.
